Our forum will include short talks about each of our programs (Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Philippines, & Vietnam). At our AGM, we will receive reports from each officer and country coordinator.

  • Brent Jones

    Brent A. Jones has been teaching English as a second or foreign language for nearly 30 years, first in Hawaii, and then in Japan and other parts of Asia. He is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors at Marist Brothers International School, and is currently the Director of Language Programs at Konan University, Hirao School of Management. He has been the City Organizer for PechaKucha Night Nishinomiya since 2010. One of his many passions is making beer at home and sharing the fruits of his efforts with friends

  • Prof. Patrick Dougherty, Ed.D.

    Patrick Dougherty, Ed.D. is Dean of the Faculty of International Liberal Arts and a Professor at Akita International University, Akita, Japan. He has been an educator for over 30 years, with 14 of those years being at the high school level in the United States and Japan, and the rest being spent teaching and working in university undergraduate or graduate education in the United States, Japan, Bangladesh, and the Middle East. He is was a founding member of Teachers Helping Teachers.
